ProjectWise Web users who have ProjectWise Drive installed and running can synchronize any work area connection that has been enabled for ProjectWise Drive.
Users can download ProjectWise Drive by going to Settings > ProjectWise Drive options in ProjectWise Web.
In the ProjectWise Drive options dialog, click the Download ProjectWise Drive (version) link. The dialog will tell you if you have the latest version installed or not.
Once the installer EXE file is downloaded, click the EXE file to install ProjectWise Drive.
Note: Installing ProjectWise Drive requires administrative rights.
After ProjectWise Drive is installed, sign in to ProjectWise Drive with your Bentley IMS account when prompted (a Bentley IMS account is required to use ProjectWise Drive).
Installation adds a ProjectWise Drive icon in the Windows system tray, which you can access by clicking the Show hidden icons button in the notifications area (lower right corner) of your computer window.
You can click the ProjectWise Drive icon at any time if you want to do any of the following:
- check the ProjectWise Drive synchronization status (Ready, Checking for Project Updates, Syncing Projects, Idle)
- initiate re-synchronization of the currently synced connections
- see which version of ProjectWise Drive is installed
- download the latest version of ProjectWise Drive (if a newer version is available)
- sign out of ProjectWise Drive
Now you are ready to go to ProjectWise Web and synchronize a project!
