Problem Description
Client gets the following error when running reports from PW Explorer:
License Check Failed. Usage not found.
Demo period expires in 30 minute(s) on the datasource 'server:datasource name' for the user admin
Steps to Reroduce:
Client renames the pwr.lic in C:\Program Files\Alna\ProjectWise Reports\08.05\Bin\ (as per the instructions state)
The V8 Select Server license is valid and contains a valid seat of ProjectWise Reports. User has a pointer file on the client machine in the correct license directory named PWR.lic which is correctly looking to the server .
Solution
Each time the client runs reports it uses a 30 minute trial license.
Also the reports included as sample are for introductory purpose and can demonstrate only what different type of reports you can build with this tool. With the help of those and the user document you can design the complicated reports. With sufficient knowledge of database and PW any one can design such reports for the engineers.
This is for evaluation purpose only this error will not harm any of the functionality except user irritation for just 30 min’s demo period.
