Problem Description
Application Usage report from Select Server is reporting incorrect usage of licenses
Solution
From the caching server - uninstall, delete the bentley folder, run ccleaner as the registry cleaner, delete the integration server reg key, check the licensing and transmit logs (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Bentley\Licensing) and ensure that 1016 does not exist. If it does, then remove it. Then reinstall. This fixed the problem. Customer had 1 PW Integration Server, and 6 PW Caching Servers. When he ran the application usage report in Select Server it stated that he is using 7 PW integration Servers, and 7 PW Caching Servers.
Note that the registry keys showed both product id’s. This was verified this by going to the following registry key on the server:
Hkey_Local_Machine\software\bentley\licensing\1.1\Applications.
In the screen below the 1016 key belonged to the Integration server and the 1023 key belonged to the Integration server. Deleting the 1016 key will sometimes fix the problem.
