Problem Description

Thumbnails are not updating...
In the OFW logs we specifically saw errors that are related to this KB artical

Exception information:
  Description: Login failed; dmsError [20801]

   at Bentley.AsyncExtraction.Scheduler.scheduleInspectionRoutine()

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322371 is realted to CryptographicException that we saw in the OFW logging when trying to run thumbnail document processing.

Solution

we did not figure out why, however one of the crucial configuration we caught that was missing was adding the specified OFW user to the administrator group in the windows system and after a REBOOT of the server we saw Thumbnails being processed.
