Copy files with document code
Is it possible to copy documents that have document codes, to another folder that is assigned to a new environment but has the exact same attributes as the original environment and have the document code copy over with the file and attributes?

Solution

It is not possible to have the document code be copied when copying a document from one folder to another.  It has to do with the "uniqueness" of the document code.  If you have a copy of a file (regardless of what environment it is in) the copy will need a new document code because it is essentially a new file.

However if you move the documents from one location to another, the document code moves with the files\attributes as long as the move is within the same environment.  It does not work when the targe folder is in a different environment.
