Problem Description
Is there a archiving feature in ProjectWise? if not, is there a recommended workflow? We have subcontractors who would like to back up files on ProjectWise when the job completes.
Solution
Bentley provides a module called distribution services. See information below

ProjectWise Distribution Service
The ProjectWise Distribution Service is an optional module used to render and/or distribute documents at specified times or states within the ProjectWise environment.
This module is often included when the user wishes to automate the creation of electronic plots that may be used as a deliverable or archival document.
The Distribution Service can also be used to automate the copying of documents from one ProjectWise system to another along with some of the attributes of the document (via the delivered “ProjectWise Connector”).
With the addition of Enterprise Connectors (available through Bentley Professional Services), organizations that already have an existing enterprise level document management system in place (that is not designed to manage engineering drawings) can rendition engineering documents and distribute them into the enterprise system.

Distribution does not require a license and comes with the server install sets.
