Problem Description
When using the ProjectWise application (like AutoCAD, Revit or MicroStation) and trying to open the document (from inside of application) it logs in automatically to one of the datasources.
Opening ProjectWise Network Configuration does not show any settings of autologin defined.
Reason
Most likely in previous versions of ProjectWise the autologin settings were saved in the Crrent User registry (HKCU). After upgrading to ProjectWise SS4 Refresh Update the Network Configuration Settings requires the administrator rights to start and as a result the settings are saved/loaded from the Local Machine (HKLM).
This results that the Network Configuration does not show any settings defined, but the application loads these settings from HKCU and logs in to datasource automatically.
Steps to Resolve
- Open Registry editor
- Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bentley\ProjectWise iDesktop Integration\08.11\AutoLogin
- This key stores all autologin details
- Delete all the autologin settings from current user
- If needed use the ProjectWise Network configuration to define the required autologin settings.
