Problem Description
When creating a rendition via ProjectWise Explorer (right click-create rendition) user was seeing inconsistencies with the resulting file's "created by" ProjectWise user. Sometimes would show the user currently logged into ProjectWise, but another project would show an administrator account
Steps to Resolve
- In ProjectWise Administrator-Renditions-Rendition Profile Components-Output Destination Folders
- The destination folder configured for the job was configured to place rendition in "specified folder"
- In the options, next to the datasource name, click the Change button
- There was a user specified for the datasource, this was where it was getting the admin account, when it is blank, the document is created by the user logged into ProjectWise Explorer.
The Change datasource settings is used when the rendition is placed into a separate datasource than the source document, and in that case a username/password for that datasource is required. This can also be used when the users creating renditions do not have access to the destination folder, when working within the same datasource.
