Problem Description
Error when trying to uninstall Orchestration Framework from Add/Remove Programs.
'Error OF is managing processes that need to get removed before the uninstall can complete. Please uninstall the applications that have responsibility for the following processes: g:\Program Files\Bentley\ProjectWise\DistributionService\Server\\dsremhost.exe
After running the appropriate uninstallers to remove these processes, run the OF uninstaller again.'
Solution
The problem was that the OF database still had entries that weren't cleared out. to work around the problem, we had to create a new blank database in dbsetup.exe before being able to successfully run the uninstall
In this case, the Orchestration Framework service no longer existed, so to be able to save the dbsetup, we first had to create the service via:
sc create "Bentley Orchestration Shepherd" binPath= "g:\Program Files\Bentley\ProjectWise\Orchestration Framework\shepherd.exe"
