Problem
User is trying to connect his PW clients to another companies datasource. The other company has asked its engineering consultants to purchase their own ProjectWise licenses.
User received a PW passport license email and is not sure how to make it work with ProjectWise.
Solution
Had the user run the activation wizard, and enter in the information provided in the email (activation key and server name). Tested the connection and it was successful.
Had the user Launch ProjectWise and it asked him to checkout the license, which he clicked yes to and at that point he could work in ProjectWise.
Advised the user that the license may need to be rechecked out in the future.
Advised the user that all client machines connecting to the other companies PW dataosurce will need to have the activation wizard run on the system as we did with his system.
