Error or Warning Message

There was no endpoint listening at net.pipe://localhost/BDC/Services/PWDCConfiguration.svc that could accept the message.  this is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action.  See innerException if present for more details

Explanation

User gets this message when Performing a Full Crawl of the ProjectWise Full Text Index

How to Avoid

One or more of the following solutions may need to be applied

  1. In IIS select BDC site and change binding from * to localhost

  2. For the WebServer Host Service change the "log on as" to a different account. There may have been restrictions with the Network Service Account.

  3. ProjectWise Web Server Host Service may not start for the first time right after installation, when ProjectWise Web Server and Web View Server is installed on a Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 operating system. Restart the PW Webserver host service.

  4. Make sure the net.pipe listener adapter, net.tcp listener adapter, and the net.tcp port sharing services are running.

  5. Reinstall .NET Framework
